Bec's Family Travels: Second Day in Miami

It took a little getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road, but I got some good practise trying to use a printed google map to try and get to the Walmart and eventually T Mobile store to pick up my sim card which will give us Data and GPS for my phone. We eventually made it to Walmart but with the chick on lunch for ages we decided to track down the local T mobile store.

Got the Sim card and plugged in the directions for our hotel. A few wrong turns and driving the wrong way down a one way street we made it to our hotel. Miami Beach Resort & Spa. Here are some pics of the room.

Driving around Miami

A dude texting on a scooter, and they have it right over here there is bike parking and scooter parking, but i kept forgetting to take the picture of the sign lol..

It rained all night and broke a little today, so we at least got to go down to South Beach and walk on the beach and put our feet in the water, which was soo blue but freezing and there were a few people swimming in it, and two chicks trying to sun bake.

The pier was closed for repair so we walked down the rock face beside it and took some pics, before continuing on our little walk along the beach.

We found a big grassy hill, but no one will roll down it.... I couldn't because I had a skirt on.

The beach here in Miami has hours of operation. lol

And pretty cool strict rules about sex offenders not allowed on the beach...

We found a penthouse for Nando to buy me it's only a lazy $17,000,000.00

A squirrel was running around outside our car and then climbed the tree in front

We spotted an american school bus...

And it started to rain again....

We stopped off at the warehouse from Burn notice and took some pictures.

As we were about to leave the draw bridge next to us went up to let some boats through..

I found a Sushi place an grabbed some.. 2 rolls that are half the size of the rolls at home cost me $13 :(), and for some reason they give you a massive container of wasabi... MMMM Sushi...

Everyone else decidede to try out KFC. Which was a major fail

They dont have potato and gravy, but they did have mac and cheese in a reusable container lol.. It had no flavour what so ever

After food, we hit the outlets and shopped up a storm, we were told that things would be a lot cheaper in Miami than they would be in Orlando especially for Disney stuff... Wrong..... There are heaps of cheap stores in Orlando.

We tried to go to Joe's crab shack for dinner, but it was closed by the time we got there, so we headed back into South Beach and headed into TGI Fridays for dinner.

After dinner we cruised Ocean avenue and looked at all the clubs and hotels and stuff.

We found the UGG Australia shop.. and they had some ferral looking ugg boots
